At the age of 33, Dennis changed careers and purchased the Arlington Hotel in Port Elgin, Ontario, in 1975. Later, in 1978 he purchased the Everest Hotel in Marathon, Ontario. In 1997 he moved the family to Thunder Bay, Ontario where he still to this day, works as a consultant for a world leading molecular equipment repair company.
